I’m about half way through this book and will finish it because it is a book club choice but I find myself rolling my eyes frequently. As someone else commented this would be a “B” grade high school English assignment. The premise of the story is good and it gave me hope it would be worthwhile but the writing is Harlequin Romance. The author does do a good job research wise, but the main character who, apparently, no man can resist is unlikeable. Anyway, as I said, half way through. Will hope it gets better.

The Women

This is an old fashioned soap opera. Everyone has a deep down secret that are painfully obvious. Secret babies, secret pregnancies, secret identities. Domestic abusers that are of course, wait for it, a cop! Even the names are overused, "Preacher " really? The main character has more issues than the New York Times. For some reason there is a character that is apparently not related to anyone but is allowed to run everyone's life. Geez!!
