It's 1970's Vietnam War era Japan, and they do a great job with sets, props, lighting, filters, and colour palette - just how I remember it, and the actor Jun Ji-hyun who plays Saya and Koyuki as Onigen are off the charts beautiful. Best part of the movie is when Saya and Onigen meet, it's absolutely dreamy. Enjoy!
