An excellent portrayal of an everyday African-American couple and the nuances of building a relationship. The beautiful showing of intimacy without the nudity was refreshing. The intertwining of personal and professional issues gave it a more realistic feel about how one is usually trying to balance more than life event at a time. It also eluded to how our past contributes a lot to our decisions in the future. The comedic addition of the married couple friends, especially the husband gave it some light moments. Many may say it was slow but the thoughtfulness was key to me.
