I'm writing this review only because there aren't too many that are not tinged by the unfortunate politicization of this film. The film is super predictable. One could guess the story by watching the trailer and that kind of goes against the film in my view. Acting is good. Deepika is great in the film. So is Vikrant Massey. Other than that there is nothing wrong with the film honestly. Just that it is too predictable and you know what's coming next. The subject, which is sensitive and an important one, deserves a documentary and not a film in my opinion. Second half is a real drag. The film can be explained in one sentence: girl is wronged, fights it out in the court and helps more victims like herself with her NGO and wins in the end.
