I'm a karate practitioner. I read this book first time 20 years ago. Looking at the techniques, I immediately recognized several of the combinations from karate katas I had been practicing, but never before knew the applications. As I remember, for me this opened new doors in Jion, Kururunfa, Chinto etc. It speaks volumes that this book has already had its 25th printing in 2005. If you are looking for Brazilian Jujitsu and ground techniques then this is not for you. But if you are interested in old style self-defense Jujitsu and techniques hidden in Karate katas then I sincerely recommend this.
