I watched the original Belgian drama which was esquisite. The English version is a good copy but fails to explain early on that he has a compulsive obsessive disorder and a fine art for details. Also the taste in 1960s euro in pop figured heavily in original series. Not forgetting the special relationship between the two police detectives.
