Awful in every way. Badly written, badly directed and with silly stories. None of the characters are engaging.

Used to be one of my favourite TV shows, however it has been destroyed by appalling writing, incoherent ideas and a wilful disdain for the shows heritage.

Remains the best Star Wars movie. Great characters, a gripping story and a genuinely formidable villain in Vader. Darker than most Star Wars movies and avoids the incompetent cartoon caricature villains making Galaxy conquering mega weapons that are so easy to destroy of the newer films. Great visuals and music as you expect from a Star Wars movie. This, along with the original and Rogue One are the three stand out Star Wars movies and highlight just how mediocre the new trilogy is.

Tries to pack too much in and suffers from the flaw that has increasingly made Star Wars movies a joke - the baddies ( and they are cartoon caricature super baddies) make all these super weapons and stand ready to conquer the galaxy but are utterly incompetent and can't shoot. After 40 years of having their butts kicked by fighters you'd think they might provide their wonder weapons with anti-fighter defences, but no.
