Another example of Disney's corruption of properties they have absorbed into their gluttonous ameba of a corporate entity. Like a single celled parasite who's only drive is to consume and leach off of its host Disney has done it again. Just like with the Mandalorian (When I first heard of its release I was expecting something along the lines of a Fireflyesk Space Cowboy TV show with a Clint Eastwood like MC.) I expected the Bad Batch to be going through complex and deadly missions as a death squad for the early rebellion. I was expecting something similar to the episodes of The Clone Wars featuring the members of Domino Squad which included Echo. Alas Disney struck again forcing these intriguing characters to play daycare. Disney clearly wants to reach the broadest audience for the sake of capital, which I understand, but why use the same daycare element for every piece of garbage they push out. In search of greater profits they have completely thrown artistic intent out of the window. The second episode made no sense at all. Why go through all the trouble to get stupid IDs to leave on a shuttle when they could hitch a ride on the Bad Batch's ship and be in a new planet within a couple days journey, Disney's genius writers used the excuse that bad batch are outlaws now, well so is that entire family. The scene where Omega goes outside the fence to grab the ball was the same as the scene from sandlot, very unoriginal. Why is Cut not affected by his inhibitor chip. Disney's writers have the creative ability as a 2 by 4. I wont be surprised if every Star Wars entity Disney creates is some form of Daddy Day Care. While catering to all, Disney, and this show has lost the viewers who grew up watching quality Star Wars content on the Cartoon Network. Disney will keep doing this as long as Soy Wojaks with large disposable incomes will keep buying their baby yoda merchandise. It is no wonder why I have not enjoyed any new visual media from the west in several years.
