I was totally gobsmacked disappointed with the mini series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and I know a series/movie will never be exactly like the books, but the series was so awful. Mia was a kind hearted soul who was a virgin, helped Lexie during her abortion time, wasn't a lesbian lover with her famous teacher (sad how Hollywood sexualise almost everything!) The book really delved into the Mia's innocent life yet Hollywood adapted it to become so overly sexalised (i.e Mia having sex in a car or with her boss- what on Earth was the need of that??). Overall, I hated it and did not enjoy it at all.
