Prue Millingen

I’ve read one other book by this author, Family Secrets, which I quite enjoyed. This one I am finding increasingly frustrating as the characters are all rather fatuous and irritating. Ms Byrski also writes with an element of that high brow Britishness. The characters all seem to be very comfortably off and nothing grubby about them. All interpersonal problems are resolved and discussed without too much drama. Infact this book is like a fairytale rather than real life which I prefer. Easy to read without a great deal of thought.
