I have mixed feelings about The Mandalorian. Visually speaking, it knocks it out of the park. The costume, character, and prop designs are on point, and the overall atmosphere is very much befitting the Star Wars name. With that said, I find the writing to be disappointing. In the first two episodes, we've seen virtually zero character development from the protagonist, and the story itself is awkwardly paced with pointless filler side stories that just distract and annoy rather than contribute to the plot. There's also an annoying plot hole in the first episode, but I won't spoil anything. All in all, it's a fun show and I still have high hopes, but I sincerely hope that the writing improves.
