This is a great show. A great follow up to HBO's Rome. It chronologically follows that story to a "T". The lead actress does a phenomenal job commanding the screen as a character depicting Livia Drusila should.
I love Roman historical dramas. Although I normally gravitate to more action involved stories like Sparticus, this more than held my attention with exceptional drama an storytelling.
This is how [in my opinion] Female empowerment entertainment should look. It shouldn't be forced down people's throats (ie Capt Marvel) it should be organic. Depicting strong characters in their elements at their best, regardless of gender.
Lastly, I'm a little tired of people complaining about the casting and not enough "diversity". There are plenty of examples of the diverse cast. The cast should be whomever the casting directors choose and who the producers decide to cast. Enough of this garbage. It's tired and petty. Spend time more wisely and positively. How does the saying go..."If you don't have something nice to say don't say it at all".
