I think this book is heavily overrated. I have read several other works from Murakami; this is the less Murakami of everything I have read from him so far. I spent the whole book waiting for something to happen, the surreal twist of worlds, plots, characters.... but I was finally very much disappointed to confirm that it is just a rather boring straightforward story with no much flair.
