I watch each night's telecast of the NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt (in fact my DVR is set to record it every night so that I can watch it at my convenience.) The reporting is first-rate & very inclusive. However, I was deeply disappointed in part of the 02JAN2022 "There's Good News Tonight" that reported on the excellent fundraiser calendar with the female veterans titled "Pin-ups For Vets". I really enjoyed watching the segment. However in Kate Snow's reporting of the story, she stated that the veterans participating in the modeling fundraiser were members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, & Marines. She neglected to mention the Coast Guard veteran that was the next to last photo on the bottom right. She also was not shown at all in the segment. I particularly felt this slight, just as I'm sure that she did because I am a retired Coast Guard veteran who has seen our proud service forgotten countless times in countless joint service news, reports, ceremonies, etc. throughout the years. The next time you ever do another piece on all of the services, please don't forget our proud, just-as-willing-to-go-into-harms-way to support & defend our country, Semper Paratus (Always Ready) Coast Guard service members.
