I wouldn't give it any stars at all if it were possible. Just like so many others, I found it disappointing. Although there was a disclaimer at the beginning, saying that the beliefs of whoever was interviewed were just views and weren't to be taken as consensus, I am greatly disappointed that these views did not seem to want to stick to and firmly hold to the TRUTH. It seemed like they just wanted to give whatever opinion they had in mind. The first episode in, I couldn't believe some of the blasphemous interpretations. First of all, THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD. How any person could say that there weren't any monotheists back then is just one example. Generally, there were many polytheists, but it does not mean that there weren't people who only worshipped GOD and did not have to acknowledge other gods (because those gods were either forms of demons or idols). It's so frustrating to hear some of these scholars talk as if they want to acknowledge so much the existence of other gods just so they do not step on other people's feet. STICK TO THE TRUTH. I won't get into all the details of other inaccuracies because this is apparently a hybrid-documentary. If anyone else wants to continue watching it, just be careful.

I felt some of my braincells die while watching this. How is it that today's writers can be so cringe with the script?

The only 2 good things in this movie were Famke Janssen and Anna Friel. The plot was too predictable. I only finished the whole thing because I wanted to see Famke Janssen survive. I did enjoy the part where Anna Friel's Nurse Mackenzie stood up to the stuck-up likes of the GP. And man oh man, even Alex Hassel's face here was so punchable.

I didn't really enjoy the movie as much as I would have liked. The only reason I'm giving this three stars is because Sean Astin, Patricia Heaton, Trace Adkins, Alex Kendrick, Robert Amaya, and Kevin Downs were in it. I enjoyed the past Provident Films movies, but this seemed to fall flat with me. I know this is supposed to be a comedy-- and, to be fair, there were some funny moments--but the main mom character was SUPER annoying for me and some of the things that happened didn't really seem to make the movie worth more to watch. I know Christian films are trying to break the norm, but this one was a bit cringy in some parts. If it weren't for the actors/actresses I mentioned, I would be constantly rolling my eyes at how things played out, especially at the end of the film. This film would have done better if the writers took more time to tie loose ends and really explore the character backgrounds of all the moms (and not just the annoying one), and also that guys wouldn't probably be that helpless in taking care of kids as portrayed in the film--although Robert Amaya's character was funny as a dad.

Many good/great films aren't DISNEY. Since this film has been more faithful to the book, I can see why a lot of "critics" and review sites think that this isn't a very good film *rolls eyes*. Don't listen to all the bad reviews. If you're someone who enjoys a good film that isn't DISNEYFIED, this is one of those films to watch. Bravo to Andy Serkis and everyone who worked on this film!

I wanted to give the K-drama a chance. I mean, Korean writers have a different sense of creativity that I appreciate. But come on...why is it that there is always some lacking information or rushed information about important parts in K-dramas? The actors are good at what they do...but I'm starting to think Kim Go Eun likes going for annoying characters. I loved her character, but I guess the writers wanted her so much to fall in love with Lee MinHo that quickly. The romantic scenes weren't painful to watch (cheesy K-drama scenes aren't my thing, so probably it's just me) so I didn't have to roll my eyes. I just wish they didn't make Tae Eul look stupid and annoying when she first got to Corea. I mean, she's supposed to be a detective.

DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS about this movie. If you've read the books or the history of the story, you'll love the film! People who've only resorted to watching the Disney cartoon and the dubbed version of this 2019 movie will definitely be disappointed. But if you go further and ACTUALLY learn the story of Pinocchio and appreciate how the Italians brought to life this tale, then you WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. Watch the undubbed version and opt for the original with English subtitiles. It's an old classic--a tale that can be further explained to children. If you can't handle the storyline and do not want to discuss this with your kids (who have probably played violent video games), then this movie isn't for you or your children. That being said, I appreciate how the filmmakers stuck to the original storyline instead of Disney-fying this beautiful piece of literature.
