The movie at first seemed interesting and of course captivating with the amount of great actors in the film. But I quickly realized that not only was the banker stalling, but the movie itself was dragging and even at the end you’re left with a bunch of nothing. Nothing but questions. Why did the owner of the bank hold on to this piece of incriminating evidence for 60 years? Why did they allow a civilian to just walk into a bank robbery and negotiate a private arrangement? How did the head bank robber know what he kept in his safety deposit box? I honestly don’t know what Jodie Foster’s character was even for. Truthfully, everyone’s character but Denzel’s was one-dimensional and undeveloped.
We know at the beginning there’s something in the safety deposit box, but they spend the next 2 hours drawing up a bunch of nothing just to hand you the answer of what was in the box at the end. I wish I could get the 2 hours of my life that I spent watching this back.
