In South Africa, we have been living in "democracy" for only 24 years and everyday we are confronted with racial matters that affect black people - who make close to 80% of the population and white people make only only about 9%. Somehow there are always cases that creep up of black people being subjected to racial discrimination if not brutality everywhere we turn. How? No one knows.
This documentary has raised a crucial point about being "organised and campaigning as a unity" as opposed to different pockets which can obstruct the key message from rising into a movement that has solid meaning.
This was an emotional documentary to watch, one that has showed me that what we see in music videos, movies and read in magazines is a a drop compared to the sadness and brutality that fellow black people are confronted with. May this movement grow to protect the next generations to come for America.
God Speed to everyone. #BlackLivesMatter
