Based on the first episode only.
As a first episode with a known character, it has the challenge of setting things up and filling in the gaps of the past, and it does these things as well as they can be done through frequent flashbacks, while also setting current day events in motion and establishing characters.
It also looks good.
One major thing dragged down my review and that was the fight/violence scenes. They basically looked fake and like a rehersal. I see others have commented on this in detail, so here I'll just say that it took me out of the story and did not portray the leads as dangerous at all.
I also don't agree with the design choice of Boba Fett removing his helmet in public. I would have liked to have seen him only remove it in private with people he trusts. I note he is trying to 'rule through respect, not fear' but without the intimidation factor of the helmet, he is esentially just carrying around a hat.
I'll update this review as the series continues.
