I was wondering why there were so many low star reviews when the movie itself was beautifully made and with a pretty good plot line. Turns out people are just being homophobic, starting their reviews with: “it’s not that I am homophobic but..”
like ok buddy. Thank god you’re not homophobic though.
The movie itself was pretty good, I loved the idea of how the organism was represented and how imaginative the animals were created. The plot of the movie was a bit rushed at times but overall it was a great story, with inclusivity and representation.
The animation was also incredible!
Overall, it was one of my favorite movies and it has a lot of good messages behind it. I think that kids really enjoy this movie as well!
Most kids don’t even question that there is a same sex couple just as they wouldn’t question if there was a straight couple, they’re both a sexual orientation fyi. Kids are yet to even understand what that is, they just see people that are together and that’s it, they don’t have prejudices in their minds yet unless someone has taught or imposed them. They also don’t care if there is an interracial couple or more people included that are not just white... like why is that even an issue.
I loved that there was a three legged dog! He was so cute.
Also, stop saying that others are trying to impose their views through children’s movies when they are just including different people that don’t fit your beliefs or standards, and maybe question yourself and why inclusivity makes you so mad.
Kids love the movie, if some don’t, then they don’t. But stop imposing YOUR views on children and saying that movies like these are corrupting them, when white heterosexual couples are what have been pushed down as “correct”.
Anyway, great movie!
If I could give it more than five stars I would.
