Multiplayer is absolute garbage: - SBMM is out of control, one half decent game means the next 10 are against sweaty content creators. - The spawns are the worst in years. They almost never flip which means way too many games you end up spawn trapped and with no half time interval, these games end up being terribly one sided. - The maps are mostly way too small, which might be okay if the spawns were better. The maps are again 3 lane garbage and conducive to camping. - The graphics are horrible, feels like can barely see the enemies. - Aim assist feels all over the place and erratic. - The time to kill seems to vary between non stop hit markers and flooring people in two shots, really hard to gauge what guns to use

Don't waste your money on another pooly put together game that the developers are hoping to cash in on purely on nostalgia as they haven't put any effort into this. Some issues: 1. Spawns: either you spawn in the furthest corner of a map and spend half the game running to find anyone, or you/enemy will spawn within 5 feet of each other. The spawns seem totally erratic. 2. Explosive damage: probably a third of the deaths I've experienced so far in this game have come from random grenades/RPGs/explosive killstreak. The damage from explosives needs to be dialed back. 3. Snipers: feel way too overpowered. 4. Health: 150 health seems to feel very slow to kill people and too often you shoot first and still die first. 5. Camping: what made the original game of this annoying was how condusive the maps are to camping which isn't addressed. 6. Attachments: needing to use other guns to unlock attachments for the gun you actually want is the dumbest idea ever introduced

Having played cod for 15 years, Vanguard is undoubtedly the worst. It's fundamentally broken and has a massive privacy issue. Criticisms: - I have a couple of players blocked but the game has no issue placing me in lobbies with them. Absolutely disgraceful. - SBMM means if you get even a 1.01kd, the next 10 games you will be in a lobby with what seems to be professional players. - Reintroducing killstreaks instead of scorestreaks creates a disincentive for people to play the objective. Playing games like domination is frustrating as its possible to be the only person playing the objective. - The shotguns might as well be in the same class as snipers since that's what they have the range of. - Spawns are absolutely broken. Too many times on domination when you have A/B or B/C on domination you end up spawning in the enemy spawn. Even worse is that people can spawn a metre behind/in front of you. - Weapons feel very unbalanced. Shotguns are overpowered. - Most maps are very boring and badly designed. Too many spots for camping. - Can no longer vote for maps so get stuck with mostly bad maps. - Best play at the end of each game doesn't work despite it working in Cold War. Just lazy developing. - Way too many gun attachments just make it convoluted. - Graphics are blurry and enemies are easily missed - Snipers are over powered and require a shot to the little toe to get a kill.
