Abigail Chapman

I always try to go into books and stories with an open mind, ready to seriously enjoy what I am reading. But honestly, this novel lacked development. I felt like everything that I was reading in the middle was bland, and the characters were very surface level. They had no appeal, and no depth. If you want a good fantasy read, try something like the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. For something dystopian, try the Hunger Games. Shadow and Bone just felt vastly unprepared.
