When you agree to watch one of Malick's films, you agree to just flow with it and see where it leads. That probably goes double for 'To the Wonder'. This is just how life is sometimes. Lots of mistakes and ambivalence and feeling trapped and loving but not liking and sometimes grief and depression. Lots of beautiful filming and finding meaning in silences and facial expressions. Not a big Ben Affleck fan, but thought he did a good job in a role that had few verbal lines of any sort.

5 Stars for Zoe Kravitz's acting. She is perfectly cast and absolutely superb in this role. It makes me want to see how far she can stretch - it's possible that she's a real actor, which is always a good thing. Also, 4 or 5 tiny directorial choices that are too small to mention, but really appreciated nonetheless.
