I'm not familiar with Tom Burke previous works but his portrayal of C.B. Strike is quite a revelation. Find out later that these stories are penned down by J.K. Rowling, feel like strike is to Rowling what Robert langdon to Dan Brown.

It's simply filmed pretty well. Portrayal of characters is quite fascinating. It's Definitely up there with True Detective Season 1.
