The cast was excellent, the newer storyline was good, but I did miss some of the original story and songs. With a quick reference to a "Chimney Sweep", or the "Bird Lady", some of the original songs would not make sense. To leave out "Spoon Full of Sugar" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" was very disappointing to me and critical for the newer generation, to keep the original alive. After leaving the movie, none of the songs had a real hook that I could remember, or would want to. Even if they did a one minute song reference, or blended in the known original fun songs into the new ones could of worked. They might as well used a different timeline instead, making it a more modern Mary Popins Returns.
