#IcareAlot
-Netflix
Certain traits of a civilized and a developed world are lost on developing (emerging: to be politically correct) countries like India.
One such act being Guardianship Act in the USA.Under guardianship orders, the guardian can make decisions affecting the disabled person's health, accommodation, support service and other general lifestyle matters. The guardian can be a health care worker or a clergyman and may not necessarily be a kin and as such, this loop hole of the law is wide open to be exploited.
While it is a blessing for most in its true utilitarian form, it can quite easily transform to abuse and misery for the benefactor.
"I care a lot" on Netflix , starring the feisty Rosamund Pike as the gay and crafty business woman builds itself up on this premise.
She identifies and seizes such geriatric subjects and converts their assets into a milking machine which are able to fund her business and livelihood. However, one such acquisition of a ward : Jennifer Peterson , takes a wrong turn.Meanwhile her rogue son played by Peter Dinklage finds out about the incarceration , and a game of snakes and ladders follows.
The frame of concept was interesting but the screenplay and story is unconvincing and most of the times, J Blakeson tries to be a Martin Scorsese , and fails.
It can be a one time watch.
