This is a sweet, funny, charming show that didn't get the recognition it should have (writing and acting). I watched it when it was on ABC during its run (and reruns on the Hallmark Channel), and just recently got HBO again so just finished the series (again) last night. (: I can totally relate to it in a few ways: (grew up in a VERY small town in Ohio so I understand that whole Midwest mentality, if you will, I was married and a mom of two who worked full time and dealt with all the chaose that goes along with that (tired from working then dealing w/kids who don't turn in their homework on time, messy rooms, etc.), same age as Mike Heck was in the series and my husband was like Mike (never showed much emotion, just went along w/whatever). My kids are grown and one has a child of their own so watching this brings back the craziness of raising a family (I MISS THOSE DAYS!) I wish this show was still on!! SUE and BRICK are my FAVORITES! And Brooke Shields as Rita Glossenar -- holy moly SOOO GOOD and FUNNY!
