A strangely comforting take on loss, love and sex. Initiating a necessary conversation on suicide and mental health, it depicts the loneliness and complexity that accompanies being young and naive. You will find bits of yourself scattered throughout the novel in the form of Midori, Naoko and Toru. This is the first time I am reading Murakami and I think I am going to be stuck with him for a while.

It's like watching your dream coming true on screen and that too in most natural, surreal way. The subtle reality that everybody detest their present and wants to be in somebody else's, is remarkably presented.
The movie gives you an insight about how writer perceive things.
A great watch, if you are into literature.
