Being a Beyonce fan and in support of Black Lives Matter, I was dissapointed. The scenery was breathtaking, the essence the people brought to the screen was beautiful. There was just way too much of hidden subliminal messages throughout the film. Yes subliminal messages are everywhere but this was too much for me. There are parts in the film that were odd such as: "Not a speck in the universe, not just some words in a Bible verse, you are the living word". Later in the film: "You can't wear a crown with your head down, I can't say I believe in God and call myself a child of God, and then not see myself as a god. That wouldn't make any sense. I wear my Nefertiti chain everyday, I never take it off. I know my history, I did the research. I'm a creator of all things." Even though film had many actors, just felt like Beyonce took what this film could have become and promoted herself all over it. I get it, it is her film but still it had so much more potential. After a while I did skip the Beyonce "videos" because it took away from the films potential and it was a much better then. Did not think it was her best work. I really looked forward to watching this film and sad to say it was a bummer. 😑
