Not a sci-if thriller, not an apocalyptic thriller, but a great comedy with so many hilarious allusions to to 80s culture. The fact it was billed as a romcom almost enticed me not to watch it, but I’m glad I did. I’m not a big Melissa McArthy fan, but not more than ten minutes into the film, I heard myself saying that she is perfect for the role. James Corden really made the movie though. If you don’t like James Corden, you will think it a so-so movie; if you are a Corden fan, you will love it. It is pure Corden humor from beginning to end.
