This wasn't a movie about the villain from the Batman comics - this was a movie about a poor man with schizophrenia in the 80's who couldn't receive the help he needed. The acting was fantastic for a dramatic and political statement about health care service, but NOT for Batman fans. They could have named this film anything else and dropped the name Wayne out of the movie and it would have been a great movie. I think it was deceptive to make this movie a political statement but use the Batman Franchise as a lure. The Joker from the comics does not care about women and children and has no sense of justice. There's a huge difference between a psychopath and a person suffering from schizophrenia. Get it right.
