Tony Wicks - C2D4 Comics

Predicable, but some good jump scares. Likeable cast, but run of the mill plot. Gets an extra point for avoiding typical cheesy horror film ending.

Firstly, you have to watch the Ultimate Edition, or Superman's arc in particular suffers from cut scenes, and he comes across petulant and pompous. The full version of this film offers a rare thought provoking take on the world of superhoes. The acting is top notch, the score is beautiful, and the cinematography drop dead gorgeous. Whether we get to see the film's proper resolution in the Snyder Cut of Justice League remains to be seen.... But even with its cliffhanger ruined with the theatrical cut of JL, BvS remains one of the most rewatchable and dramatic comic book movies to date. A perfect pairing with Man of Steel.

Captures the feel of the comics (bronze to modern age) perfectly. For the first time we are treated to the correct power levels and demeanour of Superman on the big screen. Cavill's casting is perfect. No more blundering Kent, and a perfect dignified stoicism as Superman. The family orientated scenes are as touching as the action pieces are spectacular. My favourite cbm of all time.
