A most enlightening book for people that know nothing of domestic violence since they probably have not experienced it. It is in epidemic proportion now and so many women think they have no recourse and must stay with their perpetrator for fear he will retaliate. We have help out there at local Crises Centers for just such women AND men with their children. They can call the police, get orders of protection against their husband or boyfriend and have the children with them at these centers while the counselors help them get a job, find an apartment, obtain clothes, and make sure the children attend their normal schools. Help is there if you only reach out.
