kazuki akane displays the harsh reality of the pressure society puts on students in japan that are poor, members of the LGBTQ+ community, over-protected/abused by their parents, or are generally in bad family situations, through the use of beautiful art and score. hoshiai no sora, or stars align, is not your average sports anime. this show pierced my heart like no other animation ever will.
