This isn't TWD so I wish people would stop comparing the two. IMO, Black Summer is a gritty, keep you on the edge of your seat, thriller. Acting is superb and the effects decent given the budget. What I appreciate is the realism that is portrayed here. The zombies are much more formidable than your typical slow zombies, and that throws a different dynamic into the strategy of survival. And this is one example of how back tracking scenes, to explain the prior scene, works. I think this series portrays the most accurate representation of what society would be faced with, should fiction become reality. The moral dilemmas, hard choices, etc. I like this every bit as much as TWD. Dare I say a little more. I hope there is a second season. I'm hooked.
