The game feels retro in its style, with an epic soundtrack and two well scripted story modes. Gameplay can vary from enjoyable to frustrating. There's a learning curve to this to a degree, with the emphasis on stats and building strong custom characters, which can be op when it comes to online play. In the two years since its release, it's gone through various updates, but unfortunately still feels buggy despite this. The game is anime football, with fighting elements thrown in. For fans of the anime and manga, this will feel nostalgic, and recreates this well enough. The game is worth getting for the story modes, online isn't really best recommended until friend cards are levelled up in order to build better custom characters and unlock skills, moves, shots etc.
