This movie is an unmitigated disaster & completely ignores the subtlties of the original 2003 Korean movie of the same name. There are things that only work in a collectivist Asian society that comepletely gets lost in it's alternative retelling no matter how aesthetically similar the two make look. When I was I was young I found a link for the 2013 OldBoy and got fooled into watching it thinking it was great but the original which I watched only after a good 10 years is so much better that you can see it for yourself within the first 20 minutes. So, if you haven't watched the original, do yourself a favour and watch that and if you have watched it, you should only watch if Elisabeth Olsen regularly features in your sexual fantasies.

Has to win be the best movie of 2024. A breath of fresh air in a regressive climate of obnoxious propaganda movies.

Terrible show. All they had to do was not lie. It is not that hard. I was expecting the show to be edgy but these people were just fake sad for problems that could have been easily avoided if they didn't lie.

An absolute tone disaster of a movie. The Holocaust has been used as a punchline for petty relationship problems. Everything from Hitler to Concentration camps have been trivialised to fit the plot of the movie. A large section of the population that prefers watching movies over reading would learn to see World history events with the same insensivity if such movies are made.

Supporting anything Chinese is anti-democracy and anti-human rights.

It's plays like a long black mirror episode but instead of being a black & white parable on corporatism or technology, it will leave you poralised.

A must watch for all patriots!

The movie is ass and is not at all satisfying. It's entirely based on movie clichés and tries to make up for a bad script with a star-studded cast and cameos. I'll have a better time parodying the movie than actually paying any attention to what's going on.
