Incredible! I could not put the book down, but had to for work. I read the whole thing in two days. I have wondered for years what might have happened to my uncle Sherman Meeks while on this ship. I knew his ship went down, but after reading Grace Under Fire, I have a much clearer picture of the events that took place on that horrific day, as well as months before and after. Thank you Dan Verton for taking the time to publish this information. I have been searching for years. And thank you to all of these men... I am truly humbled and blown away just thinking about what all you went through. You are my hero’s and I can hardly wait to hug each and every one of you in sweet heaven.
