While it certainly isn't as good as Explorers of Sky, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is one hell of a game. An outstanding soundtrack, great characters, a story that is seriously on par with Explorers of Sky, and the best gameplay out of the whole series with new things like chain attacks (called Alliances), wands, looplets and emeras, etc. This is an excellent game, and if no new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games ever come out, a wonderful final game in the series.

If you were considering buying this game but didn't because of the bad reviews, do yourself a favor and get it anyway. I've never played a game with such an amazing story, a practically perfect soundtrack, and such excellently written and fun characters. My only complaint is that the gameplay does get a tiny bit repetitive after the first few hours. But if you can get past that, you're in for a great time and a bit of tears at the end. 10/10.
