Saw the movie, here is the review. From a movie making Pakistani cinema perspective, no doubt that direction, make up, costumes and performance is extraordinary.
My question with the mastermind behind this mega project, highly budgeted film is, what was the need? In the era of mental health issues, sexual assaults and male pride, is this what the young Pakistani generation needs inspiration from. Hollywood makes a thousand films per year, don’t compare your story lines and themes with them. Big screen leaves marks on peoples mind, this level of violence, blood and gore, using women as a bodily satisfaction, anger, son killing father, what will happen when young minds go home and think about this all day and night, how many will get influenced? Are we ready to adapt a knife and spear culture, just like American gun violence? Could we not make a light family movie with beautiful songs and a motive, or a revolutionary film to wake up the sleeping minds of the nation.
