This show's set, costume and design was compelling and enchanting beyond words. All the character were portrayed beautifully, throughout I compared it to the much popular Jodha Akbar tv show and Mughal-e-Azam, comparing to them it was bit lacklaster. This show didn't fail but didn't concur much feelings on the subject of the actual love of salim and anarkali, one thing more, the entire reason akbar opposed salim and anarkali because she was a courtesan which I failed to see here, princes could keep a relationship or even marry their kaneeze so her being a courtesan or rakasa was important .I get many people like akbar as myself but villiainzing him a bit won't make him less but make him feel like a king.Shaheer's character was bit complicated his act of sometimes degrading his friend and slapping anarkali made me have mixed feelings about him.The ending was rushed and yet again failed to show how salim is meant to be man who didn't fall for an ordinary girl but an courtesan, though, a courtesan can be innocent but not as much a she was portrayed here.Ruquiya, saleema, Daniyal and Murad are show in extreme negative light, I don't mind but maybe this many villains were not neccessary.Anarkali has been played by many actresses and this one has been my least version of her-sonarika is an amazing actress my problems are her character, she is shown too pious for a woman playing a character like anarkali, like I mentioned she can be innocent but pious is too much. The previously mentioned movie and show portrayed her amazingly, keeping her desperate, innocent and fierce when needed. The set here was the most amazing one but really didn't fit the 16 century but I'm going to let it pass.Salim and anarkali are more of a legendary love story, their story was cute and sweet but the legendary part was bit off.If it aired longer many things could've been prevented.Nonethless I'd recommend this to everyone and to fans of salim-anarkali or jodha-akbar do watch the show Jodha Akbar, it was by far the most heart warming one.
