NON SPOILER. The experience I had as a whole with this game was fantastic. I tried to stay away from reviews so I could go in with few expectations and that was a great idea. The gameplay is similar to the first but builds upon it in really satisfying ways. The combat is absolutely brutal. Stealth, gunfights, and melee fights combined together feel great, and when you do a section well you really feel like a badass. When it comes to the story, once again I enjoyed it, I highly recommend staying away from spoilers and that if you care about the story to play it yourself. I’m disappointed that so many people seem to have made up their opinions on this game from reading leaks and spoilers online. Those tend to oversimplify a lot and in this case it’s pretty severe, the overall plot of this game is much like the first in that it’s quite simple. But my god did it make my emotions run wild, Anger, fear, hate, remorse, love, grief. It was an absolute rollercoaster for me. I loved the first last of us, and the new relationship’s in this don’t develop as well as Joel and Ellie’s in the first but the game as a whole in my opinion, was on par with it.
