Films like this is what this generation needs. I have 13 and 15 year old sister and does not know about people like Sam Cooke and other celebrities who in that day was an activist and truly wanted to make a change. Same Cooke wanted to bring Martin Luther King JR and Malcom X together. He was hurt by the things that was going on around him and truly wanted to make a difference for his people. This movie showed people how in fact Malcom X could have truly felt scared or alone for the step he was about to take for he would be going against a whole nation of people who basically worshipped a man vs truly trying to get inspiration from their religion. You had Jim Brown who knew the only reason Esau liked him was because he ran up and down a field and made them money but outside of that he was just another by word to them. He knew that if he wanted to have a feeling of freedom for himself NFL was not the way to go. Muhammed Ali was the glue of them all truly. He knew them all and just wanted them all to come together and make a difference in the world. We need our kids to see more films like this and other movies like birth of a nation to see that our people didn't just give in we fought too and we need to teach our kids about how before slavery we ruled the world and why now we are in the state that we are in now.
