Fantastic film based on a fantastic book. The performances are superb and it's beautifully filmed.

Just watched this and thought it was excellent throughout, bet faithful to the book.

Great film, really nuanced scenes, lots of unusual coffee ups which make it feel really special. Fabulous performance from Elliott Heffernan who plays George. Great soundtrack.

It's not terrible, but if give it a miss. Just a really flat script. I know this is a children's film but there just aren't enough laughs to keep adults interested. It's got 'trilogy syndrome' like the godfather: first one is great, second one brilliant and third one really disappointing. The director of the first two, Paul King, passed on it as did Sally Hawkins. If they do a fourth one expect more of the cast to be replaced.

Well, the film was made by Netflix which means it's almost certainly terrible, but it's 7.0 on imdb so I decided to give it a try. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. It started well but the plot then descends into incomprehensible nonsense. If you must watch it then turn the sub titles on as there is sooo much mumbling.

There's some good acting in it but some really disgusting bits too. It's also a rip off of dramas such as Brideshead Revisited, The Talented Mr Ripley, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cruel Intentions and Six Degrees of Separation. Avoid.

Walked out of this film after 45 minutes (I wasn't the only one), I don't walk out of many! Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting high drama, but I also wasn't expecting it to be so terrible. A really boring script, absolutely no chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Bunny. Even the stunts aren't very good. And it's not remotely funny. A real turkey! I'm staggered that Gosling and Blunt accepted the roles, maybe they just didn't read the script.

I just binge watched this over one weekend and found it extremely moving. It's Beautifully written directed and acted, I can thoroughly recommend it, even the Guardian gave it 5 stars!
