Adam Sandler gets stuck in a space station with the most judgy passive-agressive spider in the universe, who can't stop calling him 'skinny human' until right until the very end despite knowing his name all along. Adam (Jakob) finally realises the truth - that we all hate spiders, and for good reason. A massive waste of the incredible talent that is Carey Mulligan is unforgivable. How this script ever made it into production will forever remain the biggest mystery in the universe. Avoid, unless pop psychology 101 in space delivered by a giant spider is your idea of a good time. For me it's 2 hours of my life I can never get back. If only the space ship was equipped with a giant can of flyspray 🥱😬😤

Another potentially good show ruined by a major character (and his wife) who are just so annoying and inexplicably stupid. I'm rooting for the terrorists to at least kill him before they get caught. It's only the rest of the cast and an interesting story that is keeping me going.

I've watched this several times over the years since its release. It's very 80s/90s and a little dated now, but it's still a classic. The story of D-Fens is still very relatable, especially in 2023 when useless call centre drones in 3rd world countries and other support people in real life can make you really feel like pulling out a machine gun to actually get some proper service. If someone like this has ruined your day ever, then sit back and live vicariously through D-Fens as he deals to some very annoying people :-)

Is it realistic? No. Historically accurate? Not really. Gritty and depressing like Fury? Hell no. But does it have really cool tank battles, a likeable cast (even the German tank commander), and a gripping plot with plenty of suspense and surprises? Heck yeah. Plus the best slom-mo effects in a movie ever. It's actually a fun war movie for the whole family, if there is such a thing. Note: I watched the subtitled version which sounds like it's much better than the dubbed version from what I've read about it.

I've always liked this film, but on the latest viewing after several years since the last, I found it somewhat frustrating and difficult to watch. Firstly, the good; Denzil Washington, Christopher Walkin, Dakota Fanning, and even a bit of Mickey Rourke. Now the bad; Tony Scott, who is clearly a HUGE fan of shaky handy-cam, over-exposure, over-colouring, and jittery frame bleeds. Was there an earthquake in Mexico the whole time they were filming, or did the video editor have Parkinson's? And what is up with the kitch Enya music stolen from (way more talented brother) Ridley's Gladiator?? God the ending was so cheesy it'd put an Italian pizza maker to shame. The whole thing drowned in mawkish sentimentality by the credits. Clearly Ridley had a word about dialing down the shaky editing, because Tony went on to make the far superior Deja Vu with Denzel 2 years later. Watch that instead.

It looks like a cheesy 70s movie, with worse dialogue. The 'soundtrack' makes you want to hit mute during any of the appallingly bad fight scenes. It's excruciating to watch. Especially when you consider it came out AFTER The Matrix!! Unfortunately it's not 'so bad it's funny', because it unbelievably actually tries to take itself seriously. Avoid!!!

The whole Trilogy is profoundly moving, especially this one. The hardest to watch of the 3, but by far the most realistic. Even a relationship as touching and enduring as that of Celine and Jesse has problems, of which we can all relate.

Five of the most obnoxious, dysfunctional, socially awkward people who would in real life never be allowed anywhere near a spaceship... head off to Mars via a 3 year journey in a drama that has very little to do with space and is more like a long distance version of 'Dallas'.

The mechanics of the car driving and smashing into other vehicles is superb. But the overall game suffers from several glitches, and loads of interuptions as you put the controller down and google how to get past a certain section of the game. Then you get to understand just how many frustrated players there are out there. The game gets rather boring repeating the same tasks over and over again by the time you get to the top of the map. Then when you get to the Gastown race to defeat Stank Gum, the game sinks into a mire of really bad storytelling and game mechanics and just a very unsatisfying conclusion. All those episodes with the desert wanderer trying to help Max find his humanity - completely ignored in the second half (once you no longer need to visit him any more). The Hope and Glory side story is a complete waste of time. Scrotus returns despite you having buried a *chainsaw* in his head at the start. The Boss fights are easy and boring after a while with zero variety. The final fight is probably the most anticlimatic and unsatisfying ending to a game ever. And you get no choices of how Max decides to go on at the end. And after an entire game building the ultimate car, you hardly get a chance to drive it before it's destroyed and you end up back with... your original car from the start! Heading off on your own again... nowhere. The entire game was an exercise is ... futility. It's really an exercise in patience to get to the end. By the time I got there I was like 'Thank God that is over!' Avoid.
