Watched movie and i really enjoyed the first half. Bcz first half movie contain everything what we all expect and want. And second half: an above average not up to the expectations. There are a bunch of things going wrong with the movie Zero. I’m no cinema lover & went in knowing it’s a regular potboiler. 1. The movie tells it’s okay for a man to leave a woman at the altar for another woman & go back to her a year later expressing love. Because the woman is always replaceable & does not deserve to be treated with respect. 2. The movie tells you it’s okay for the man to persist & stay put to woo the woman back even when she says NO & is engaged to someone else. Because what really is consent. (Uski naa mei bhi Haa hai) 3. The movie tells you it’s okay for the woman (a scientist) to return to the man (Grade 10 pass) who humiliated her, dumped her & left her pregnant, leaving behind a similarly educated colleague. Because it’s ‘LOVE’ & is above having a man who treats you with respect & is well educated. How are we ever going to teach our boys to treat our girls better or our girls to be fiercely independent when they see the biggest superstars embodying such characters? If movies are truly an extension of our social reality, I fear we haven’t made enough progress.
