David Piombino

Stone, Defoe and Ruffalo were amazing. The sets and costume design were also equally amazing. The plot starts off strong like a modern day Frankenstien discovering the world, but doesn't go anywhere further. About halfway in the film lost my attention and I was just waiting for the end. It was fine and I watched it bit it is not a film I will re-watch.

This film drags and it was tough to get through. There are relatable moments regarding the difficulties of raising kids but not much happens in the film itself. I actually am having difficulty writing this review without giving the whole film away since it would take only two sentences to divulge the entire plot.

Great cast and a decent premise but it's so ridiculously unbelievable that it loses interest. So many scenes are bathing baffling eye rollers that it really takes away from the film and makes it something you can only get through when stuck on an international flight.

The film is a slow burn as events unfold but it grips you into the drama.
