This book is amazing and anyone who says it isn't is just comparing it to other stories they deem similar. This book creates such a beautiful world and reading this book feels like an intimate viewing of this wonderful piece of fiction. The structure of the book is such a unique concept that challenges the reader and keeps their mind moving. It's truly engaging and I have never read another book like it. From how the stories connect to the present, and how sometimes, they really don't, makes this book all the more interesting. The complexity of the characters was quite interesting as well. The ending was one of the best parts of it, I will say. Most books have a neat tidy ending with a bow, but that would never in a million years work for this story, and it is a story within a story, and the entire point is for it to be everchanging. The destruction of the Harbor just to create a new one, and the literal rebirth of one of the characters helps to build this narrative Morgenstern has already set and developed. This book is just a beautifully written piece of art that I couldn't put down. I urge anyone who wants to puzzle their mind and give themselves millions of goosebumps to read this tale.
