I almost gave it 4 stars, but after further reflection it did tick all the boxes. I would say it just barely squeeked in the 5 star rank, because there are definitely better movies that are a solid 5 or 5+. Lol!! I should also preface this review by saying that my job is serious and hard enough, so I don't give movies as much scrutiny as other reviewers, as long as I feel entertained while I have some R&R on my days off. It was action packed with decent special effects, interesting enough storyline, and the actors were really good, with some pleasant surprises!! But it seemed like to us, the effects toward the end caused confusion as to what was actually happening. Then it let you know that this was Chapter 1, so maybe we're supposed to be confused at this point? From reading other reviews, there is a game also. So maybe gamers had a better understanding. Overall, it was entertaining enough and we will definitely be keeping an eye out for Chapter 2. We are also going to go back and watch the 1st movie Occupation from 2018.

I've never written a movie review on Google, but this one legit stole 90 minutes I'll never get back. 1st, it's Painfully Slow! Scenes that didn't matter, lasted forever. When they would get to the action, they would skip from shot to shot. Often, they would try to increase the action with a wobbly camera. 2nd, I've seen this kind of vibe before...back in the 80s! And not in a good way! It had bad acting, weird camera angles, strange background sounds/music. I guess it was based on a true story, but I couldn't really get behind any of the characters. Major plot reveal at the end, but by then I was just over it!
