A-BA-SO-LOOT-LEE MY FAVORITE SHOW ON TV!!! "The Expanse" takes place in a gritty future depiction of Earth and its colonies with tremendous writing, diverse characters and excellent character development, wonderful story arcs, and awesome special effects! One of the best shows of ANY genre on TV/Cable/Streaming, in my humble opinion.

I was a fan of the first theatrical series so I watched this one too. Needless to say I was sadly disappointed. I honestly could not find anything I liked about this movie.

I have mixed feelings about the show. Some of the critique is warranted, however, I feel it has promise and actually liked it enough to watch the entire season. There are some interesting character and plot choices that may come across as cliche, however, I do hope it gets a 2nd season. I want to see how things shake out. Hopefully, it can and will, get better and correct some of its shortcomings. Having said that, I give it a tentative "thumbs up" with the hope that a 2nd season will be better. As an aside, I am a Katee Sackhoff fan! Loved her in BSG and Longmire!
