If Part 2 continues to be about Joel and Ellie saving the world, it would have been a truly bad and boring story.I know many ppl feel upset about the story and don’t understand the meaning of killing each other. But The part 2 is really trying to tell everyone that in this post-apocalypse world, NO-ONE is innocent, just like the story “In a Grove” written by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa . It’s truly sad and profound to play both Ellie and Abby in the same time, and I love how Director tries to tell the story like this and make every emotional scene clean and tidy. Especially as The player, we will have to make bond with each character, and sit through the whole scene, even though you don’t like it, but it is what it is, it is the reality, no-one is innocent or truly righteous. Serving justice makes no sense in the post apocalypse world but as a human being you just can’t let it go, otherwise you’re no different from the petty clickers.
